The Rev. Aquinas Guilbeau, O.P., university chaplain and vice president for ministry and mission at The Catholic University of America will present the fall 2024 Pilgrim Forum Lecture, “The Rosary: Mary’s Merry Psalter,” at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Hendrickson Dining Room of the F. K. Bemis International Center. Having journeyed through the Apostles’ Creed from “I believe” to “Amen,” and touching briefly on what the lives of the saints, popes and Mother Mary mean for us in our lives today, we now begin a new multi-part series that will explore the Christian faith through the mysteries of the Rosary. Guilbeau will open the series with an overview of the Rosary, helping us understand more about its history and meaning.

A native of Louisiana, Guilbeau entered the Dominican Province of St. Joseph in 2005. After several years of pastoral work in New York City, he began doctoral studies in moral theology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), where he completed a dissertation on St. Thomas Aquinas’s doctrine of the common good. In addition to his teaching, Guilbeau serves as the university chaplain and vice president for ministry and mission at The Catholic University of America.

The Pilgrim Forum is a series dedicated to sharing information and spurring thought and discussion around important aspects of the Catholic faith and tradition. Once each semester, speakers present thought-provoking ideas that invite attendees to understand more deeply what they believe. This series is made possible through the generosity of the family of Dan Ritter (1932-2019).

The lecture is free and open to the public, but requires a reservation. For more information or to register, go to https://www.snc.edu/pilgrimforum/, call 920-403-4034 or email at pilgrim@snc.edu.
