De Pere, Wis. - The community is invited to the 2025 Norman and Louis Miller Lecture in Public Understanding at St. Norbert College. The lecture series aims to foster
conversations that deepen public understanding of the world’s most pressing issues through dialogue and reflection.
What: Attention and the Good Life: Overcoming Disenchantment Krista Tippett in conversation with Fr. Jim Neilson, O. Praem.
When: Tuesday, March 11, 2024, 7 p.m.
Where: Walter Theatre, St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wis.
Details: The program is free and open to the public, supported through funding from the Norman Miller Family Foundation.
Krista Tippett, a Peabody Award-winning broadcaster, National Humanities Medalist, and New York Times best-selling author, will engage in a moderated conversation with Fr.
James Neilson, O. Praem., assistant professor of art. Tippett, creator of the On Being podcast and project, is known for elevating voices of wise living and thoughtful reflection in
today’s fractured world. In this conversation, she will explore themes of attention, disenchantment and how to live wisely and well.
Tippett is the author of three acclaimed books: Becoming Wise: An Inquiry into the Mystery and Art of Living; Einstein’s God; and Speaking of Faith.
